| Q. |
How will I know that it's working and how long will it take before I notice? |
| A. |
There
are a number of ways to know if Ferox is working, but if you don't want
to pull apart your engine or go to get an emissions test every other
month, a simple way is to track your fuel mileage, both freeway and
city driving. Improved fuel mileage has a direct correlation with a
cleaner engine, and a cleaner engine results in fewer emissions.
Another easy way to see that it is working is to check your oil. Due to
less carbon blow by, your oil will stay cleaner longer. The time it
will take to notice a difference will depend on the history of the
vehicle, because some engines will have more deposits than others.
Ferox is a catalyst and will remove the deposits, but deposits don't
just fall off over night. We recommend the consistent use of Ferox in
order to completely remove deposits and keep them from coming back.
Everyone should notice a significant difference within 4,000 miles of
driving with the consistent use of Ferox. For more information
regarding this question please refer to the Technical Bulletin, (The Ferox Combustion Catalyst, Revised January 2005)

| Q. |
How do I apply Ferox to my fuel and how much should I apply? |
| A. |
If
you are using the Ferox 230 liquid in a 4 oz. bottle, put the Ferox
solution in the nozzle of the fuel pump (holding the nozzle upright),
rather than trying to stick the bottle in the fuel tank. Follow the
line gradient on the side of the bottle, apply the desired amount into
the fuel pump nozzle, then insert the nozzle into your tank and begin
fueling. One ounce treats 40-50 gallons of gasoline or diesel fuel. If
you are using the Ferox Fuel Tabs, place the desired number of tabs
into the upraised fuel pump nozzle, then place the nozzle into the fuel
tank and begin fueling. One tab treats 10-15 gallons of gasoline or
diesel fuel.

| Q. |
How often should I add Ferox to my fuel? |
| A. |
Being
that Ferox is a Catalyst and not a Detergent it is safe to use with
every fill-up, and for best results, we recommended that you
consistently add Ferox with each fueling. Doing this will not only
clean your engine, it will also prevent it from future carbon build-up.
The more consistent you are, the more money you'll save.
|
| Q. |
Will Ferox Fuel Tabs completely dissolve in fuel? |
| A. |
Yes,
as a matter of fact Ferox Fuel Tabs will dissolve 100% even in a half
of a liter of fuel, and it will do it about eleven (11) times as fast
as our leading competitor.
|
| Q. |
How should I store Ferox? |
| A. |
You should always keep Ferox out of the reach of children. Do not store it in extreme temperatures, or in direct sun light.
|
| Q. |
Can Ferox cause damage to my vehicle?
|
| A. |
As
long as Ferox is used in the recommended dosages it will never cause
any damage to a vehicle. In fact, when used correctly, Ferox will
extend the life of an engine. All of Ferox Inc. products are registered
with the Environmental Protection Agency, are test proven and are
supported by years of scientific data. For more information on this
question visit the Technical Bulletin, (Ferox Combustion Manager Treatment Ratios, 20 August 1995).
|
| Q. |
What is a catalyst? |
| A. |
A
catalyst is a substance that causes a chemical reaction to happen at a
lower or higher level of energy without changing itself. In this case
Ferox causes the combustion resistant components in fuel, and in the
combustion chamber to combust at lower temperatures than they normally
would. For more information on this visit the Technical Bulletin, (The Ferox Combustion Catalyst, 26 January 1995).
|
| Q. |
Will Ferox work as well in a gasoline engine as it will in a diesel engine? |
| A. |
Ferox
works on the chemical level of the combustion process and therefore
works in exactly the same way regardless of the type of liquid or solid
fuel in which it is used. For more information on this visit the Technical Bulletin, (Combustion Chemistry, 12 February 1997).

| Q. |
How do I apply Ferox to my fuel? |
| A. |
The
first thing you need to know so that you don't make a mess is to put
the Ferox solution in the nozzle of the fuel pump (holding the nozzle
upright), rather than trying to stick the bottle in the fuel tank.
Apply the desired amount in the nozzle and then stick the nozzle in
your fuel tank and begin fueling. This will also allow the Ferox to get
mixed into your fuel better, which will show better results. The lines
on the bottle are to indicate how much Ferox you should apply with the
number of gallons of fuel that you are using. You don't have to be
exact when using the lines, for example if you have a 15 gallon tank,
there's no line on the bottle that says 15 gallons, so it's okay to
approximate, the lines are just there as guidelines. Using a little too
much or a little too little will not make much of a difference and will
not harm your vehicle.
